Richard Cansell
After 25 years of working in the City of London, Richard started his own gardening business in 2016. His decision was really a lifestyle choice; working outdoors and having the flexibility of running his own business really appealed to him. Then in 2019, he decided to co-found Arch Garden Services with Alex Hughes.
Richard enjoys the sense of satisfaction when a smart garden emerges, and the smiles from customers when they see the end result. Having studied gardening and horticulture at Writtle College, Richard has gained a wide variety of skills and knowledge particularly with regards to treating & maintaining lawns.
Alex Hughes
Like Richard, Alex worked in the City of London for just over 30 years, before co-founding Arch Garden Services. Similar to Richard, Alex’s decision to leave the City of London was a lifestyle choice and one that enabled him to work outside, having spent a large part of his career office bound.
Alex has always loved gardening and gets great satisfaction from transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful liveable areas.
